Regional Cutting Edge ICT-Clusters
Until today, IT Center West has identifies three cutting edge clusters within ICT with large regionalcompetitive edge and potential for sustainable growth. These clusters are supported by cluster-projects.

CHASE & GigaHertz-centre are two new research- and innovation centers at Chalmers in Gothenburg, included in the state-funded R&D-program of VINNOVA named VINN Excellence program 2007-2016.Göteborg Region Easy Access Technology - GREAT acts to develop the infrastructure of the Gothenburg Region.
Right now we are about to form three regional areas of strength Green IT, ICT Health (ICT within Life Science) and ICT Learning (ICT for learning processes), where we are convinced that West Sweden has good possibilities to compete on an international arena.
Within the Gothenburg region there are about 4700 ICT-compnaies, top 10 to be found here.
