Business Region Göteborg/Biogas Väst commitment is important in reaching the long term environmental objectives. There is an increased willingness to take the issue of climate change seriously which has to be preserved, says Gunnel Horm, head of the Swedish EPA´s Investment Programmes and Information Section.
- The grant is of great importance for biomethane as vehicle fuel. It sends positive signals to the biomethane industry in Sweden and the market will grow, says Bernt Svensén , Project manager, Biogas Väst at Business Region Göteborg.
Business Region Göteborg/Biogas Väst:s climate investment programmes are in the field of: biomethane production, technology and fueling stations (liquefied biomethane) for buses and trucks, The grant is divided between following projects:
· Liquefied biomethane in Lidköping: 16 million (53 million SEK) Municipality of Lidköping /Göteborgs Energi/Swedish Biogas
· Fueling station (liquefied biomethane) for buses Lidköping: 4,5 million SEK (15 million SEK ) FordonsGas Sverige AB
· Development of Biomethane facility in Skövde: 20,4 million (68 million SEK)Municipality of Skövde
· Biogas Brålanda — Pipeline for biomethane, equipment, upgrading plant and fuelstation: 15,3 million SEK (51 million SEK) Innovatum AB / Hushållningssällskapet
· Biomethane in heavy duty traffic — Duel fuel technology: 1,7 million SEK (5,8 million SEK) Municipality of Götene
· Administration: 0,2 million SEK(0,5 million SEK) Business Region Göteborg
