A regional land database was launched at the annual Local Property Market Day in the Göteborg Region
We believe that this is the first of its kind when Business Region Göteborg through its close collaboration with member municipalities and property owners in the region has managed to launch a database which will contain all available land for business activities. In addition, it will contain the planned areas which will be open for business within the coming five years. Potential investors and new or expanding companies seeking for land can visit this database via our website and make searches on their own. This is a unique way of working and Göteborg Region is pleased to present it — all in the favour of developing and reinforcing our commercial and industrial life. The presenters of the database were Roger Strömberg, Head of Establishment and Investment at Business Region Göteborg, together with Bengt Christensson from the Göteborg Region Local Government Federation.

Göteborg Region has lately received much attention due to given awards as the best region for small enterprises. The leader of the study European Cities Entrepreneurship Ranking, Loïc Maherault from Altidiem, France, attended the conference to tell more details about the study of the 27 European cities. Earlier this year the region received three awards as Europe's leading region for new business creation and entrepreneurship. Mr. Maherault states that this is an asset which cannot be overrated:
“The entrepreneurship and its presumptions are fundamental key factors for economic growth for all regions in Europe. It is very important that enterprisers perceive a connective, border-crossing support from all actors in the region." Maherault showed graphs over top judgments given by the region's entrepreneurs."
