Climate- and Environmental shares are increasing and attracting even more
Al Gore and the United Nation´s climate panel made the world conscientious about the climate threat. New climate shares are being launched and they are attracting many savers.

During fall, climate shares have been the most popular branch shares at internet-broker, Avanza. Previous favourites such as small enterprise- and raw material shares have been lagged behind on the journal of sales.

“Every other Swedish crone invested in branch shares is invested in climate shares. Ethical shares are perceived as too fuzzy. The savers appreciate the concrete goals and the placements which are made in climate shares", says Claes Hemberg, Director of Information, Avanza.

During summer and fall, several climate- and environmental shares have been launched on the Swedish share market. In October, the bank Swedbank started a share called Effektiva Världen- Efficient World- which invests in enterprises that contribute to a more efficient use of the earths resources. It invests in themes such as energy, soil and water, climate, atmosphere, and biological diversity.

Also, the internet-broker Nordnet has seen a strong growth of Climate shares.

“Three of the five most sold shares in November were climate shares. It is definitely a change of trend since the emerging shares such asChinaand India earlier have dominated the year", says Daniel Ljung, Head of Production, Nordnet.

Just over a month ago, ABN Amro launched the global equity fund Clean Tech which invests in enterprises within branches such as renewable energy, waste disposal, and water distribution.
