Ericsson Labs challenges maps for the web with technology from Idevio

With the newly released Ericsson Web Maps, Ericsson Labs pushes the frontiers and introduces streaming maps for the web. The streaming technology used for Ericsson Web Maps is delivered by the Swedish company Idevio.Ericsson Web Maps is released with APIs, web components and documentation to enable developers to bring dynamic maps into web sites or web applications. Similar to the Ericsson Mobile Maps, the Ericsson Web Maps uses Idevio's and patented map technology RaveGeo to distribute and visualize the map.

Locago (www.locago.com), owned and developed by Idevio, is a free mobile map service that uses the map for displaying third-party content.
