Medfield Diagnostics receives SEK
3 500 000 from Vinnova
Medfield Diagnostics receives  SEK 3.5 million in funding from VINNOVA, the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems, for continued R&D of the company´s stroke diagnostic instrument. Out of around 300 applying companies, Medfield Diagnostics is one of twenty to receive funding for R&D projects.
VINNOVA funds research and development projects in small and medium-sized companies through the programme Forska&Väx. The investment is based on annual grants totalling SEK 100 million from the Swedish Government. In the second round of Forska&Väx this year 49 small businesses are receiving a total of SEK 50 million of funding.

"It´s encouraging that Vinnova sees the potential in our technology and is co-funding the development of our stroke diagnostics instrument. With shareholder capital for project development received previously and Vinnova´s contribution for further development we are well equipped to create a strong product for stroke care," says Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO of Medfield Diagnostics.
