Göteborg based company Mentice, which develops and sells medical simulators has appointed Mr Göran Malmberg as President and CEO.
Mr Malmberg, formerly a member of the Mentice board, has extensive sales and marketing experience from executive positions within the software industry and has vast international experience.“Mentice has and continues to be successful since the company´s inception in 1999 and throughout the years we are honoured with several awards recognizing our efforts. To continue on the path of success, the board has decided that now is the time to make changes in the company´s management structure," says Goran Malmberg, President and CEO of Mentice.
“My goal is to develop the company through further product development while enhancing our sales and marketing operations."
Mentice has grown at an average rate of more than 70 percent per year since the start in 1999, and was awarded Göteborg Region´s Best Growth Company in 2007, an award presented by Business Region Göteborg. This is not the first award for the company — in 2004 Mentice was titled “runner up company of the year".
Mentice´s simulation systems are based on virtual reality (VR) technology and are used for training for physicians and practising complicated procedures in order to improve patient safety. Mentice is a global company with around 60 employees in Sweden, US, Switzerland, UK, Germany, Australia, Singapore and China.
