ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENTThe employment is a full time position and the included tasks are to perform research within the scope of the Dahmén Institute´s research area. In particular the research will relate to regional development and methodological issues. The employment is for one year, starting approximately March 1, 2007, and there are possibilities for continued employment. The Dahmén Institute develops policy relevant knowledge with the aim of contributing to Swedish innovation policy and Sweden´s regional and national economic growth. The institute is especially connected to the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA), and its regional development program (Vinnväxt).
The Dahmén Institute works within the area of innovation and policy and our main areas are Dahmén Analysis och Dahmén Forum. Dahmén Analysis focuses on policy related research, interacts with policy makers and spurs policy debate and coordinates networks between researchers within the areas of innovation, regional development and economic growth. Dahmén Forum supports innovation system and cluster programmes with training courses, network facilitation, learning workshops and development project. The rational of Dahmén Forum is to improve effectiveness in the renewal processes and to cut lead time from policy creation to action. For more information about the Dahmén Institute.
QUALIFICATIONS
The applicant should have a relevant Ph.D. degree, where your background may e.g. be within disciplines such as innovation and research policy, innovation studies, industrial dynamics, economic geography, entrepreneurship, economic history, business administration, economics, political science, etc. The applicant should have experience from development and performance of high quality research, prioritize international publication and be able to work independently as well as in interdisciplinary project teams. Research, process support as well as networks within the Dahmén Institute are highly interdisciplinary and experiences from such environments are meriting.
The applicant should naturally have an interest in collaboration between researchers within regional, national and international communities, to integrate research with policy development as well as in interaction with policy makers, industry and other actors.
