Production of the Volvo V70 AFV Bi-Fuel
Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV), a Gothenburg based company, has started converting Volvo V70 model into a bio methane version. The first converted cars are now already in the hands of its buyers.
AFV is a privately owned company and the conversion is operated close to Torslanda Volvo factory, where the cars are being produced. The sales of the converted vehicle, Volvo V70 AFV Bi-Fuel, is completely integrated with Volvo. This means that Volvo´s ordinary trade channels deal with the car´s warranty and insurance for example. The Volvo V70 AFV Bi-Fuel has got many benefits, such as the fact that the cars performance has increased and its gas consumption decreased. The car can go300 kmon gas and another 700 on petrol.
