Foreign-owned companies in the Göteborg Region - new report out now!
The Göteborg Region has nearly 2300 foreign-owned companies and the number continues to rise. Among the foreign-owned companies, Norway is still the country with most companies in the region. Chinese-owned Geely aquiring Volvo has influenced other Chinese companies to consider the Göteborg Region for their establishment in Europe.
Business Region Göteborg presents a brand new report of foreign-owned companies in the Göteborg Region. Our region has attracted nearly 2300 foreign-owned companies from 50 different countries and the number continues to rise at a rapid pace. Since the last report, the number of foreign-owned companies has increased by 200 companies. The countries that have the most companies here are Norway, Germany, the UK, the US and Denmark. Due to the fact that Chinese-owned Geely acquired Volvo, we all ready see a growing interest from Chinese companies for the Göteborg Region.
