Business Region Göteborg Return Satified From MIPIM 2006
Business Region Göteborg would like to thank all our guests for their attention during MIPIM 2006. This was the sixth time we participated at MIPIM with Oslo . In conjunction with the MIPIM fair The Scandinavian Arena arranged a seminar promoting the Scandinavian “brand" and creating knowledge about future investment possibilities in Scandinavia.
There were over 160 attendees at our Investment Seminar.38% were from the property sector while 26% were from the investment sector.24% were from miscellaneous sectors, 55% were foreign visitors and 45% were Swedish.Business Region Göteborg has witnessed development growth within many sectors including trade, logistic and service sectors where recently we have seen some exciting new establishments such as; Frode-Laursen, ProLogis, Excel, NYK Line Hornbach etc. Elsewhere companies from Europe, North America and Asia have established regional headquarters or R&D centers here, attracted by first-rate operations in the biomedical, IT and automotive business sectors, plus the existence of educational institutions like Chalmers Institute of Technology. Göteborg is today´s Scandinavian industrial center with a big market for business. Already you can find 1,800 foreign owned companies in the region.
The MIPIM 2006 was the biggest MIPIM yet setting a new record, and ran from14 - 17 March 2006, Palais des Festivals, Cannes.MIPIM's record attendance of more than 20,000 participants this year confirmed the steady increase in the number of participants since MIPIM was launched six years ago. With 21,415 participants, MIPIM, The world´s property market, is up 21% over last year, beating all attendance records since the event was launched in 1990.
